1. Secretary of State John Kerry says he's made clear to Iraq that it shouldn't allow Iran to use its airspace to ship weapons and fighters to Syria. Kerry made an unannounced visit to Baghdad, three days after the anniversary of the start of the Iraq War.

 

2. The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee is calling for greater US involvement in Syria. Republican Mike Rogers said on CBS' "Face the Nation" that there needs to be a safe zone where US soldiers can train the country’s opposition forces.

 

3. The Vatican estimates 250,000 people jammed St. Peter's Square to hear Pope Francis celebrate Palm Sunday. During the Mass, the new Pope encouraged people to be humble and young at heart.

 

4. For the first time since the 1980s, two pandas are on their way from China to Canada. They will spend the next ten years at zoos in Toronto and Calgary.
