1.President Barack Obama laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unkonwns to mark Memorial Day. He also called on Americans to remember and honor the sacrifices of the country's fighting men and women.

 

　　2.A fire broke out aboard a royal Caribbean cruise ship en route to the Bahamas. The cruise line says the fire occured on the mooring deck of deck 3 about 2:15 this morning and was quickly extinguished.

 

　　3.Republican Senator John McCain has quietly slipped into Syria for a meeting with rebels. The visit took place admid meetings in Paris involving efforts to secure participation of Syria's fractured opposition in an international peace conference.

 

　　4.And this crane toppled onto an apartment building in the Russian city of Kirov. It damaged balconies and cars below. There were no injuries.
