法国希望与伊朗培养新的关系(在线收听

PARIS, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Tuesday that France looks to foster new relations with Iran following the inauguration of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

"The minister (Fabius) expressed France's wishes of seeing the inauguration of President Rouhani as the start of a new stage in relations with Iran," said the ministry in a statement.
During his meeting with Iranian Ambassador to France Ali Ahani in Paris, the French top diplomat said that Iran's presidential elections "have demonstrated the will of the Iranian people for change," according to the statement.
Fabius stressed that France is ready to work with Iran's new government, and calls on Iran to take concrete actions in response to international concerns over its nuclear program.
Rouhani on Tuesday noted in Tehran that his country is ready for "serious talks" on its nuclear program "without losing time".
Iran has been a target of UN sanctions due to its alleged attempts of building nuclear weapons. The West accuses Iran of developing nuclear weapons under cover of civilian nuclear programs, which Iran denied.
