 A severe tropical cyclone is generating rain and storms on the northwest coast of Australia. Meanwhile a trough is triggering rains in the Northern Territory in WA. Finally another trough is drawing hot winds on the southern Queesland and NSW.

 
Looking around the states now.
 
Queensland can expect hot showers and storms throughout the state with slightly higher temperatures inland.
 
Most of NSW should have a very hot and dry day, with the odd shower in the northeast.
 
In Victoria, it will be warm in the north with slightly cooler conditions in the south.
 
Tasmania can expect isolated showers in the south and west, with strong winds developing throughout the day.
 
South Australia should have a very hot day, with the odd shower in the far south of the state.
 
While in WA, there'll be strong winds and heavy rain in the north and west, while it will be slightly cooler in the south.
 
The Northern Territory can expect a very hot day with isolated showers throughout the state.
 
Looking ahead to tomorrow, around the capitals now, there is a chance of rain in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart and Canberra. It should be a sunny one Brisbane. There is a possibility of strong thunderstorms in Darwin and in Perth.
