At a seminar on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources held in Havana, Director of International Relations of Cuba's Chamber of Commerce Celia Labora invited German businessmen to invest in Cuba's Mariel Special Development Zone, located 50 km west of Havana.

　　The seminar seeks to identify bilateral collaboration opportunities especially on ecological energy sources, said Labora.

　　Johannes Hauser, manager of the German Regional Chamber, asked his fellows to take advantage of the seminar to find out energy cooperation approaches among firms of both countries, while praising Cuba's interest in developing renewable energy sources.

　　The German government supports its firms interested in holding negotiations with Cuba in several fields including energy, said Wolfgang Stopper, representative of Germany's Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
