A low off the east coast is bringing showers to northeast New South Wales and southeast Queensland. Westerly winds are causing light showers in Tasmania, while a large high is keeping most elsewhere mostly dry.

Looking around the country.

In Queensland, isolated showers about the northern Cape York Peninsula and south coast and Border Ranges.

To New South Wales, isolated showers along the north coast with isolated early showers on the central coast.

In Victoria, areas of morning fogs in the east and north, isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast.

Showers in Tasmania about the west far south and Bass Strait Islands, possible showers about the southeast.

In South Australia, possible showers near the coast and lower southeast, cool with light winds in the southeast.

Possible isolated showers over the western and the southern Pilbara, the western and the northern Gascoigne and the far western interior.

And in the northern territory, sunny and cool and windy throughout, apart from patchies of morning cloud over Alice Spring.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, sunny in Sydney and Canberra, a possible shower in Melbourne and Hobart. Partly cloudy in Adelaide, possible late showers in Perth, sunny in Darwin, and fine and partly cloudy in Brisbane.
