NEOMA Business School held its 1st press conference last Friday in Beijing. This French school is the result of the merger between Reims Management School, famous for its focus on the champagne business, and Rouen Business School which ran joint degree programs and an executive education campus in Paris.
We interviewed Frank Bostyn, Dean of the French business school, and talked about the trend of European business schools reaching out to the Chinese market in recent years.
Every year, NEOMA Business School welcomes about 300 Chinese students (including those of exchange programs). In China, NEOMA Business School has 6 dual-degree programs with 4 top Chinese universities: Renmin University, University of International Business and Economics , Nankai University and Wuhan University. In total, NEOMA Business School has 16 Chinese academic partners, including Tsinghua University, and Shanghai International Studies University.
As a new business school with a long history, NEOMA Business School will continue to reinforce the programs with Chinese universities, develop the Executive education, develop more dual-degree programs with Chinese universities. Dean Frank Bostyn mentioned in the press conference that the school aimed to attract the best Chinese students.

NEOMA Business School hold its 1st press conference in China
"Europeans don't see China as threat, but as an opportunity, especially for the young people," Frank Bostyn, Dean of NEOMA Business School talked at the press conference hold in Beijing on the 6th December. This is also the 1st conference held in China for this new French Business School, as the result of the merger between Rouen Business School and Reims Management School.
With three accreditations (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA), NEOMA Business School is ambitious to be ranked among Europe's leading business schools and be recognized as the preferred partner of companies. In order to realize the two ambitions, the School makes will continue to offer high quality programs, strengthen the research activities and stick to an ambitious international strategy.
A new portfolio of programmes starting 2014
NEOMA Business School has more than 200 permanent professors and focuses on seven different academic departments, reflecting its strategy and positioning (Finance - Marketing - Strategy and Entrepreneurship - Information Systems, Supply Chain and Decision Support - Man and Organizations - Compatibility, Control and Legal Affairs – Economy, Cultures and International Affairs). Thank to this strong faculty, NEOMA business school offers the programs from Undergraduate to Executive Education.
A new portfolio of programmes, from Undergraduate to Executive Education, will be launched for the start of the new academic year 2014. Among the major innovations is a single Grande Ecole Master programme and a new Bachelor in Business Administration.
An ambitious international strategy
With 300 international partners in 75 countries, NEOMA Business School has one of the largest global academic partnerships among all the European business schools. On every continent, the School has exchange programs with the most prestigious universities and business schools. The international deployment of NEOMA Business School consists in developing partnerships rather than in setting up in one campus. Apart from the "Talent & Behavioural Development Unit" and "Student Affairs", which are dedicated to supporting students’ career development, NEOMA Business actually has two offices in China (one in Shanghai, the other one in Beijing). The two offices will also help the Chinese students to find jobs when they come back to China, and also support the foreign students who would like to work in China. Until this year, about 1000 graduates of NEOMA Business School work in China.
As a new BS with a long history, NEOMA BS will continue to reinforce the programs like DBA with Chinese universities, develop the Executive education, develop more dual-degree programs with Chinese universities.
