Let’s take a look at the satellite. A low pressure system is causing heavy rain and strong winds in eastern Victoria and bringing some rain into New South Wales, Tasmania and South Australia. There’re showers in the Pilbara region thanks to a trough over Australia’s west coast while rest of the country is mainly dry. In Queensland, isolated showers on the northern Peninsula, sunny everywhere else with cool temperatures in the south. There are strong winds and showers on the New South Wales coast. Sunny but cool in the north and west.
For Victoria, we’ll see winds and showers in the east which will ease as the day continues. Some snow for the Alps.
Isolated showers in the south and east of Tasmania. Winds easing off in the east. And cool and dry in the west.
In South Australia, there’ll be some isolated showers on the coast. In the north, it will be mostly sunny after a chilly morning.
Patchy right rain will spread east across WA with the west mild and mostly sunny.
In the Northern Territory, it will be a cool morning in the south, warming up later with a warm day ahead for the Top End. |
