2. The Justice Department will now allow US Airways and American to merge, creating the world’s largest Airline. The government sued to block the merge saying it would restrict competition. But the airlines agreed to concessions.

 

3. The American Heart Association in an American college of cardiology released new guidelines to prevent heart attacks and strokes. They are urging nearly one third of American adults to consider taking cholesterol lowering statin drugs. 

 

4. New York’s new World Trading Centre Tower once it is finished will replace Chicago’s Willis Tower as the nation’s tallest building. A panel of architects says a needle atop the Manhattan skyscraper is a permanent spire, not an antenna, and can be included in its height.
