He is awaiting a new trial for the 1975 slaying of a neighbour. Prosecutors are appealing the ruling.
3. The 747 Boeing Jet that landed the wrong airport last night, took off this afternoon and headed toward the correct runway. It was to touch down McConell Air Force Base in Witchita, but last night ended up eight miles north at a small local airfield.
