A trough in the east is generating thunderstorms in the tropics and southeast New South Wales. Unstable air behind a front is producing showers in Victoria and Tasmania. A trough in WA is causing thundery showers in the Pilberra and the Kimberley. Queensland will have some isolated showers and thunderstorms over most of eastern districts. Mostly fine and sunny elsewhere.
Isolated showers on and east of the ranges of the New South Wales with some isolated thunderstorms contracting north during the day.
In Victoria, isolated showers in Gippsland and near the coast will clear during the morning. A cool day, sunny in the north.
In Tasmania, isolated showers in the west and south will increase later this evening. Possible showers for the east coast, but fine elsewhere.
South Australia can expect the odd, light shower through the southeast and peninsula district, including Kangaroo Island.
WA will see showers and storms over the Kimberley, Pilber, Gascoid and northern and central interior. Very hot near the west coast.
In the Territory, isolated showers and gusty storms north of Daily Waters. Sunny and warm in the south.
Looking ahead to tomorrow's forecast for the capital cities: showers are possible in the eastern capitals. Melbourne should be dry. A morning shower for Hobart. Adelaide and Perth will be fine,but a chance of storm for Darwin. |
