Their meeting included an apparently informal coffee break in garden of Elysee Palace. Kerry called Russia to ensure the safety of the international observer, citing the UN special envoy's visit to Crimea that was cut short by armed men.

 
2. Investigators are still trying to determine what triggered a nature gas leak at a town house development near Trenton, New Jersey. The explosion killed one woman and injured 7 workers Tuesday.
 
3, Olympain Oscar Pistorius arrived at a court in Pretoria , South Africa Wednesday for the third day of his trial, in which he was charged with murder his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. His chief defense lawyer questioned the legitimacy of a witness, saying his statements were quite similar to those of his wife, who testified on Monday and Tuesday.
 
4. In Washington, former IRS official Lois Lerner at the heart of the agency's tea party scandal, appeared at a House Oversight committee hearing with his lawyer, but invoked the 5th amendment at least 9 times when questioned by Chairman Darrell
