Reaction has been swift after the Associated Press reported on the US government’s creation of the Cuban’s Twitter, a communications network designed to undermine the communist government in Cuba. White House spokesman Jay Carney called it a development program and not covert. Senator, Patrick Leahy from Vermont called the program “Dump, Dump, Dump”. And said he was not aware the effort. 

 
2. The soldier who killed 3 people and wounded more than a dozen before killing himself in Fort Hood Wednesday showed no recent risks of violence according to the authorities. This is the second shooting rampage on the Texas military base. In 2009, an army psychiatrist killed 13 and wounded more than 30 at Fort Hood. 
 
3. Malaysian and Australian officials have vowed to give relatives of passengers on flight MH370 closure. Both countries are leading the multinational search efforts and pledge that no effort will be spared to solve the mystery of flight 370
 
4. Briton Queen Elizabeth paid a private visit to Pope Francis at the Vatican. During her 62-year reign, the queen has met five pontiffs.
