Bachelet acknowledged that the challenges facing the nation "go beyond the tasks of a single government". She said that the fundamental reforms will bring about a structural change to all levels of education in Chile. Bachelet on Monday announced a reform package for the education sector which will expand free education, create more universities and give increased funding for kindergarten.
