A. Shame作为名词表示“羞愧；耻辱；可耻的人或物”；作动词则表示“使丢脸；使羞愧；使蒙羞”。下面我们来学习与shame有关的表达：
1. put to shame 大大优越于某人〔某事物〕，使…相形见绌
Her careful work put all the rest to shame.

2. Shame on you这句话可以独立使用，表示“你应该感到羞耻”。

B. Except除了。区分一下except 和besides：这两个词都有“除……以外”的意思。Except表示“除……之外（不再有）”，而besides表示“除．．．以外，还有．．．”；来比较一下：
