Nearly 230,000 people affected by the earthquake in Yunnan have been relocated to safer areas. Longtoushan County is the worst-hit area. Two relocation sites were established there to accommodate victims.

Works are now underway to repair dozens of water supply lines that were destroyed . According to the local government, the water supply will be restored on Wednesday.

Until then, residents in the area will have to rely on four water purification vehicles. These are able to supply 100-tons of drinking water per day, or the daily needs for 3,000-5,000 people. Food including vegetables and fish were also delivered to the site. Workers have yet to figure out measures at garbage collection.
