Joan Rivers has received the kind of star-studded sendoff she always said she wanted. Howard Stern delivered the eulogy at the comedienne's funeral in New York Sunday while Broadway stars sang and bagpipers played "New York, New York" on the street as mourners filed out. Rivers died Thursday at 81. President Barack Obama says he will begin laying out a strategy this week to defeat Islamic State militants in the Middle East. The president plans to meet with congressional leaders Tuesday and follow with a speech to the nation on Wednesday.
The British government plans to offer Scotland more financial autonomy in the coming days as polls predict a very close call in the outcoming referendum on Scottish independence. The news survey shows Scottish voters are almost evenly split, making it too close to call.
And an amateur Enlish treasure hunter uncovers a rare coin in a Nottinghamshire farmer's field. The 3-penny coin bearing the date 1652 is expected to sell for up to 1.6 million dollars at auction.
