Law enforcement officials are releasing new details about Friday shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck high school outside Seattle. Debral Wang from member station KUOW reports they let out how they believe the shooter got his five victims together before the attack. Sihomish county Share of Tie Trinary says the shooter had taxed his five victims inviting them to lunch. They were sitting at a table in a cafeteria when he shot them. Police have not named the shooter. But witnesses identified him as Jalen Friber, a popular student who had been crowned homecoming prince. The victims were his friends and two were cousins. Shere of Trinari says investigators are still combing though phone and tax massages.

Trinari says the shooter used a forty caliber bered pistol which was purchase legally and registered to a family member. Police are trying to determine how Friber got the weapon. For NPR News I’m Deber Wang in Seattle.

And a study released today finds the number of bicycle riders being killed in collisions with cars is up 16%. NPR’s Sam Sanders reports men was the vast majority of the deaths.
The Governor’s Highway Safety Association found that over 700 bicyclists died from collisions with motor vehicles in 2012. Two-thirds of bike riders in that number weren’t wearing helmets. And one in four were alcoholic peierd. Doc Alan Wolims offer the state, and he says the age of bicyclists dying in this kind of crashes is changing.
People weigh back as far as they can which would be 1975. There were mostly children who were killed as bikers. And now it’s mostly adults and mostly adult males -- about three quarters of fatalities.
