New York City's Grand Central Station hosted a mouth-watering fashion show Friday. (Yeah).Hosted by exercise guru Richard Simmons, Putting on the Spritz , promoted the new line of wishbone low calorie salad spritzers. For the event, designers accessorized models with fruits and vegetables, some of the models sprayed dressing on their edible attire.
And it's..it's fabric, but on the fabric girl watermelons, grapefruits, carrots, lettuce, cucumbers. It's delicious, it's a walking salad, that's why I'm here. Highlights included a woman who wore a carrot skirt with a watermelon rind hat. A corn cob cowgirl also wore carrots, and with a red cabbage-leaf dress, another with asparagus. The fashions were designed by Jay McCarroll, star of the show, Project Runway, and costume designer Chris March. Proceeds from the event went to benefit America's second harvest, the largest Charitable Hunger Relief Organization in the country.
