Fierce fighting is reported in norhtern Iraq near the Turkish border. Kurdish forces are battling Islamic State militants.

 

At least 7 people were hurt in Florida when lightning struck a car in a parking lot outside the Tempa Bay Buccaneers football stadium. None of the injuries were serious. The lightning hit shortly after the Green Bay Packers defeated the Buccaneers 20-3.

 

And the numders for the world's biggest lottory have been drawn in Spain. Thousands of ticket holders will share a pot worth about 3 billion dollars. The top "El Gordo" prize is nearly half a million or 400,000 Euros.
