1. Police say they found the bodies of three missing St. Louis area kids in the washer and dryer in the kids' apartment. Authorities say they were led there by a statement from the woman who'd earlier been charged in the death of the children's mother and her unborn child.

3. Storms are lashing the Midwest and South and forecasters say they could be headed toward parts of the eastern US. Flood warnings are in effect for at least fives states. The storms have claimed nine lives so far.
