1. President Bush will no longer use the phrase "stay the course" when describing Iraq policy. White House officials say the phrase no longer captures the dynamism of the tactics America and its allies are employing in the war-torn region.
2. One miner was dead following a blast at the R&D Coal Company, 80 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Four other workers did escape from the Pennsylvania mine. Officials have not yet determined what caused Monday's explosion.
3. At the World Trade Center site in New York, more human remains have been uncovered. Investigators believe the tiny bone fragments are from victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. However, ongoing construction at the site will not be stopped.
4. And a strange sight in the nation's capital Monday: Local news crews were on the scene as 2 large bucks were pulled from waters near the Tidal Basin in Washington D.C. Officials corralled the white tail deer into an inflatable lifeboat and then released the pair at a nearby park.
