VOA标准英语2015--Top 5 Songs for Week Ending June 20(在线收听) |
Top 5 Songs for Week Ending June 20 We’re gift-wrapping the five most popular songs in the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Singles Chart, for the week ending June 20, 2015. We get one new single this week and we can live with that, right? We don’t demand 100 percent turnover every week…we're realists. That changeover happens in fifth place, where Jason Derulo jumps two slots with “Want To Want Me.” Jason’s already tasted chart victory with this song… He’s only enjoyed one Hot 100 champ – “Whatcha Say” in 2009 – but overseas it’s another story. He’s a big attraction in Australia, and “Want To Want Me” is currently the number one song in the U.K. …where Jason has posted three previous title-holders. Walk The Moon is threatening to take up permanent residence in fourth place, home to “Shut Up And Dance” for yet another week. The song has gone platinum in the U.S., selling one million copies. Lead singer Nick Petricca tells LA Weekly that the band recorded its Talking Is Hard album in both Kentucky and Los Angeles. Nick himself divides his time between Ohio and North Hollywood. Staying put at number three is Fetty Wap with another million-seller, “Trap Queen.” The New Jersey rapper just received the Music Choice MC100 Award for having the most-played video of the year…at least so far. He got a bit choked up at the presentation, saying he’d never previously won anything. That can’t be said of our next two artists: Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar hold steady in second place with “Bad Blood.” Taylor kicks off the European leg of her “1989” tour June19 in Cologne, Germany. Meanwhile, Kendrick has a full slate of North American and European festivals on his itinerary. It all concludes in late August with appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the U.K. Holding in first place for an eighth big week are Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth with “See You Again.” Wiz is on the road with Fall Out Boy here in North America through August 10. As for Charlie, he now has a major-label contract with Atlantic Records and will release his first full-length album later this year. So there you go…another Top Five all sewn up. The chart’s always changing, so please join us next time. |
