 December 5th, 1933Prohibition ends in the United States after more than a dozen years, as Utah ratifies the 21st Amendment to the Constitution. That measure repeals the 18th Amendment, which had banned the manufacture, sale or transportation of alcoholic beverages.

1791,One of the world’s great classic composers, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, dies in Vienna, Austria. He was just 35 years old.
1901,“Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.” Walt Disney, creator of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and an entertainment empire including major theme parks, is born in Chicago.
And 1932,Little Richard, one of the early stars and shapers of rock n' roll, is born Richard Wayne Penniman in Macon, Georgia.
