Police believe they've found the body of the missing Melbourne woman following the arrest of her son. 59-year-old Penelope Bailey was last seen at her Mont Albert home north on Monday. Police found the body in bushland at Donbel last night and are yet to formally identify the body. The woman's 34-year-old son remains in hospital, no charges have yet been made.
FIFA's ethics committee has provisionally suspended president Sepp Blatter for 90 days. FIFA vice president Michel Platini and Secretary General Jerome Valcke have also been suspended. Ex-FIFA president Chung Moon-joon has been banned for six years, meaning many of Blatter's potential successors are now out on the running.
We are very disappointed to see more and more high-ranking officials drag through the mud because this again is another indication of football which has not taken care of itself and it's lurching from one crisis to another.
Now Moscow has denied that 4 cruise missiles fired from the Russian warships in the Caspian Sea landed in Iran instead of hitting targets in Syria. U.S media is reporting an unnamed U.S official making that allegation: Washington stepping up its criticism of Russia over its military support for Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has been using a private e-mail server outside parliament secure system for government business. His office says the majority of government correspondents is routine and nonsensitive. And his office says many MPs use private messaging systems for non-sensitive material for reasons of convenience and superior functionality.
