Let’s take a look at the satellite image. A pair of troughs and developing Tasman low are maintaining showers over eastern New South Wales extending over southern and inland Queensland. Extension of this trough is linking out with a trough in the west to produce thundery showers over the Northern Territory and northern Western Australia. Looking around the country, in Queensland, showers and storms in western and southern parts of the state. Sunny along the eastern coastal fringe.
In New South Wales, a cool and windy change is bringing showers across eastern and northern areas.
In Victoria, showers and storms are expected over the ranges, mostly sunny and warm elsewhere.
In Tasmania, sunny with a few showers over the south and southeast.
In South Australia, sunny and warm with light showers around the peninsulas.
In Western Australia, showers and storms in the Kimberley and western inland. Hot in the north. Warm and sunny in the south.
And in the Northern Territory, showers and storms in the center and north, easing across the south.
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast for the capital cities, Brisbane, a possible thunderstorm. Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, easing showers. Hobart, afternoon rain. Adelaide, partly cloudy with light winds. Perth will be mostly sunny and possible storms in Darwin. |
