A war of words has broken up between the Pope and Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump. Pope Francis has suggested that Mr. Trump is not a Christian, because of his campaign promises to deport more immigrants and force Mexico to pay for a war along the US border. Donald Trump has hit back labelling the Pope's comments disgraceful. Now Turkey's president says there is evidence that Turkey's militia group based in Syria was behind yesterday's suicide bombing that killed 28 people. 14 have been arrested over the attack on the military convoy in Ankara. President R says the main bomber has been identified as a Syrian Kurdish man. The political arm of the Syrian Kurdish group or YPG, has denied any involvement.
The federal oppisitionists are demanding that the government unveil its plan to change its two superanuation taxes. The Treasurer Scott Marrison has indicated the government is likely to cut generous tax concessions on superannuation, and he's promising a decision on this soon.
And emergency council meetings are being held in the Victorian town of W, to work out how to manage the fast growing weed called hairy panic. Frustrated residents are forced to clear up the ways for several hours each day, with powers the stuff reaching several meters in height. Take a look at that. |
