Li said China is capable of achieving economic and social development during the year. He stressed that China needs to develop a new economy and further push forward structural reform, especially supply-side. 

Li added that China needs to encourage the public to develop start-up businesses, create new technologies, new industries and a new industry structure. He also said education, medical care, housing, social security and food safety are priority issues.
