For more analysis, we are now joined by Mr. Jia Xiudong, a senior research fellow at China Institute of International Studies. And Rick Dunham, a visiting scholar from Tsinghua University. Great to have you both on our program.
Q1. Mr. Jia, let me start with you. Just about two weeks ago, China and the US jointly opened the world's largest nuclear security center in Beijing. What role has China been playing in global nuclear security, and what else can you tell us about China's contribution?
Q2. In the face of rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula, South Korean President Park Geun Hye has reiterated her stance of focusing on sanctions, rather than dialogue, to encourage the DPRK to abandon its nuclear program. Mr. Dunham, do you think this could be a effective way to ease the tension, as well as strengthen nuclear security?
Q3. And Mr. Jia, what's your take on this? |
