US-based Wal-Mart said it will sell its Yihaodian website to JD.com Inc. Wal-Mart will receive a 5% stake in JD.com, valued at roughly $1.5b at recent prices.

Wal-Mart's customers in China can enjoy JD.com's delivery service and JD.com's online shoppers can get access to War-Mart's pool of imported food and beverage.

Sam's Club China will open a flagship store on JD platform, vastly expanding the availability of Sam's Club's imported products across China. It will offer same- and next-day delivery through JD's nationwide warehousing and delivery network, which covers a population of 600 million consumers.
