In Minnesota, family and friends gathered for the funeral of Philando Castile. A horse-drawn procession ended at the Cathedral of St. Paul. The 32-year-old was fatally shot by a police officer last week during a traffic stop.

Officials warning violence could break out at next week's Republican national convention in Cleveland. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Thursday the agency is sending 3000 of its own personnel to deal with security.

Video released by police in Fresno, California shows an unarmed man being fatally shot by police. The inccident happend on June 25th. The man refused to show one of his hands despite repeated warnings that he would be shot. The shooting is under investigation. The victim's mother has filed a claim against the city.

The UK's prince Harry staging an HIV test in London Thursday to promote awareness. A doctor pricked the prince's hand for blood and ran an instant test which came up negative.
