　　As is illustrated in the drawing, separated individuals who enjoy the Internet accesses areconnected with each other though the spider-web-like information super highway. But meanwhile,each of them is confined to a small cell and attached to the laptop before they can get into touchwith others.

　　At first sight, every one can chat, communicate and make friends with others by means of thepowerful Internet links. It is extraordinarily convenient for Internet users to transfer information invarious forms because people are just a click away. However, under the surface of this amazingcloseness created by the “cyber space” is the ever extending distance in reality. While people areindulging in the convenience and entertainment brought about by the Internet, sitting all day longin front of a screen all alone, they are virtually driving away their intimate family, friends and reallife. Quality time with parents is replaced by aimless chatting with a total stranger; space forhanging out and bonding with real life friends is roughly occupied by endless Internet games. Indeed,the Internet has greatly facilitated our communications and thus improved efficiency ingovernments, business, and schools. Yet an inconvenient fact has emerged: at personally level,many people have got addicted to the Internet by immersing in the virtual space and shutting thereal world out all together. Judging from all evidence offered，we may safely come to the conclusion that the Internet is botha blessing and a curse. It is up to the users to strike a balance between the merits and set? backsand make good use of the Internet resources to their favor.
