China will step up efforts to protect the safety of medical workers by listing violent incidents against medical staff as "major sensitive cases," the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said last Friday. 最高人民检察院上周五表示，我国将进一步采取措施来保护医护人员安全，并将针对医护人员的暴力事件列为“重大敏感案件”。
"To this regard, procuratorate organs must issue a quick response immediately when cases of offences targeting medical workers occur," according to a statement released by the SPP at a press conference.
据最高检在一场新闻发布会上所发布的声明指出：“在这方面，当有针对医护人员的犯罪案件发生时，检察机关必须立即做出快速回应。”
Once the new system is launched, procuratorate organs at various levels must take coordinated measures and respond to such cases in a timely manner under the instruction of the SPP, it said.
