This is AP news minute. 1. A powerful earthquake struck New Zealand's south island, killing at least two people, causing damaged buildings and infrastructure, and prompted emergency services to warm people along the coast to move to a higher ground to avoid the tsunami waves. 2. President-elect Donald Trump is receiving congratulatory phone calls from a member of his former rivals, including Jeb Bush and John Kasich. Trump's senior advisor Kellyanne Conway told reporters in Trump tower on Sunday about the calls, and said the conversation of the president-elect had with Bush was "Incredibly Gracious". 3. French president Francois Hollande opened a national day of commemoration in France, one year after the Paris attack that killed 130 people. Hollande unveiled the pack covered by a small French flag at the national stadium in memory of the single person killed there and numerous wounded. 4. Pope Francis gave VIP seats to homeless people at a special mass in St.Peter Basilica. Francis invited them to one of his last masses during a holy year of mercy which ends on November,20th.
