Twenty months after founding the video website YouTube, founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen have accepted a $1.65 billion offer for the company from search engine Google. YouTube has become famous for providing videos of everything from last night's important television events to old Bollywood clips to low-budget videos that people make in their own homes. While YouTube has made very little money on their own, their large collection of popular videos will fit in with Google's new strategy of providing customers with more content so that Google can make money from advertising revenue. Google will also take on YouTube's problems with copyright holders who object to their work being uploaded to YouTube without their permission.
