1. President-elect Donald Trump attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the Arlington cemetery on the eve of his inauguration. Roads are closed and security barriers are up as Washington prepares for Friday's history-making event and potential protests. 

2. President-elect Donald Trump's pick as treasury secretary clashed with democrats during a lengthy confirmation hearing Thursday. Democratic panel members questioning Steven Mnuchin's handling of thousands of mortgage foreclosures, and his failure to initially disclose $100 million in assets to the committee. 

3. Rescue operations continue Thursday at the site of a collapsed building in Iran that was engulfed by a fire. State media reports at least 30 firefighters were killed and some 75 people were injured in the blaze. 

4. A wild turkey is wreaking havoc for drivers in a small north Carolina town. The turkey doesn't seem to be intimidated by passing cars or school buses. She will even chase the vehicles on the road.
