The body of a slain police officer was ceremoniously transferred to a funeral home in Indianapolis Saturday. Southport police lieutenant Aaron Allan was fatally shot after responding to a car crash on Thursday. Court documents say he sustained 14 gunshot wounds. 28-year-old Jason Brown has been arrested on a preliminary murder charge.

Pakistan's deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his disappointment over his disqualification by the country's highest court for allegedly concealing assets. In his first televised comments since the decision, Sharif said he was removed by the Sumpreme Court on Friday over baseless allegations.

In London, protesters angry over the death of a young black man following a police chase clashed with riot police overnight, throwing bottles and setting trash on fire. 20-year-old Rashan Charles died in a hospital last week after he was pursued and apprehended by an officer. Authorities are investigating the event.

In Taiwan, preparations were underway on Saturday as typhoon Nesat threatens the XXX's eastern coast. Big waves were seen lashing the shore of nearby Yilan port city where fisherman tightened their boats and waited for the typhoon to strike shore.
