I'm Suyi Coming up: Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has said the Iraqi army will not go into a war against the Iraqi Kurdish people.Prime Minister al-Abadi also vowed to protect Iraq's unity.The Kurdish security forces, known as Peshmerga have been told not to clash with the federal forces earlier this week.It comes after a controversial referendum on independence of Kurdistan and disputed areas in the oil-rich province of Kirkuk.Neighboring countries including Turkey, Iran and Syria see such a step would threaten their territorial integrity, as large populations of Kurds live in those countries.Also this week, Iraqi Prime Minister al-Abadi said he expected the Islamic State militants in Iraq to be completely defeated by the end of this year.
