Who Was Leonardo da Vinci 达·芬奇 SUBJECTS OF PAINTINGS(在线收听) |
IN LEONARDO’S TIME, PATRONS ORDERED TWO KINDS OF PAINTINGS. THEY EITHER WANTED PORTRAITS, WHICH WERE PICTURES OF THEMSELVES OR FAMILY MEMBERS, OR THEY WANTED RELIGIOUS PAINTINGS, WHICH SHOWED MOMENTS FROM THE LIFE OF JESUS AND THE SAINTS. THERE WERE NO LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS WHERE NATURAL SCENERY—A MOUNTAIN RANGE OR A VIEW OF A LAKE—WAS THE SUBJECT. NOR WERE THERE STILL-LIFE PICTURES, WHICH ARE PAINTINGS OF OBJECTS LIKE A BOWL OF FRUIT, A BUNCH OF FLOWERS IN A VASE, OR A TABLE SET FOR DINNER. OFTEN THESE SORTS OF THINGS WOULD APPEAR IN RELIGIOUS PAINTINGS, BUT THEY WEREN’T THE MAIN FOCUS. IN THE 1520S A GERMAN ARTIST NAMED ALBRECHT ALTDORFER WAS THE FIRST TO DO LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS. STILL-LIFE PAINTINGS WERE FIRST CREATED IN THE NETHERLANDS IN THE 1650S. |
