  The Chinese government says a trade war is never an appropriate solution to reducing trade friction, and that it hopes China and the US can continue to resolve their differences through dialogue.Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi has made the remarks on the sidelines of the ongoing political "two sessions" in Beijing.He added that China itself has a long way to go to realize modernization, and it has no need or intention to displace the United States.Wang Yi also says the Belt and Road Initiative is a global public good that follows international rules.Wang added that the initiative is an international cooperation platform that follows market principles.
