The lovely gaze where every eye doth dwell, 刻出这众目所归的美颜，

　　And that unfair which fairly doth excel: 叫倾国之貌转眼丑态毕现。

　　For never-resting Time leads summer on, 因为那周流不息的时光将夏季

　　To hideous winter and confounds him there, 带到可憎的冬季里摧残，

　　Sap checked with frost and lusty leaves quite gone, 令霜凝树脂，叫茂叶枯卷，

　　Beauty o'ersnowed and bareness everywhere. 使雪掩美色，呈万里荒原。

　　Then, were not summer's distillation left A liquid prisoner pent in walls of glass, 那时若没有把夏季的香精提炼成破璃瓶中的液体囚犯，

　　Beauty's effect with beauty were bereft, 美的果实亦将随美而消殒，

　　Nor it nor no remembrance what it was. 那时美和美的回忆都成过眼云烟。

　　But flowers distilled though they with winter meet, 但如果花经提炼，纵使遇到冬天,

　　Leese but their show, their substance still lives sweet. 虽失掉外表，骨子里却仍然清甜。
