The Chinese President has promised non-stop effort in reform and opening up and commitment to an open economy.

Xi Jinping made the remarks on Wednesday in discussions with entrepreneurs who gathered in Hainan for the annual Boao Forum for Asia (BFA).

The Chinese president has pledged extraordinary effort to shift China's economy in the new era from high-speed growth to high-quality development.

Xi Jinping said China will not stop its efforts to expand opening up and reform, nor will it close doors to the outside world.

"It is a pleasure to meet with all the entrepreneurs. This platform allows the Chinese government to communicate directly with entrepreneurs at home and abroad. This is an informative event and many valuable opinions will be heard,” said Xi, “suggestions are very useful to us. Moreover, the Boao Forum for Asia is an economic-oriented forum and entrepreneurs are the main players. Their participation has made positive contributions to the development of the Forum for 17 years."

Xi Jinping has vowed more contribution from China to the development of Asia and the world.

"Last year, the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in success. In March this year, the country successfully held the two political sessions. The information released by us is clear and firm, just like my speech at yesterday's forum. China's reform and opening up will continue to march forward. We will make greater efforts to promote a more mature system, higher quality development, higher level governance, and most importantly, let the people feel more fulfilled, happy and secure," said the president.

Xi Jinping has encouraged countries around the world "to board the express train of China's economy and share benefits from its reform, opening up and development."

He says China will foster a more relaxed and orderly environment for entrepreneurs from home and abroad to make investment and start business.

More than 70 entrepreneurs from home and abroad attended the discussion.

They said they were inspired by a series of new measures for expanding reform and opening up, which were announced by President Xi at the opening ceremony of the BFA annual conference.

The Boao Forum for Asia annual conference concluded on Wednesday with major consensus on promoting globalization amid rising uncertainties in the world.
