2018年CRI Lifeline Express becomes a model for international transfer of medical technology(在线收听

Lifeline Express, a mobile hospital, will continue to deliver medical treatment to over 9600 impoverished patients for problems related to cataracts in eight Chinese provinces and regions, including Guangdong, Heilongjiang, Shanxi and Henan.

Health officials announced this year's plan for the hospital train on Thursday.

Former Vice Health Minister Zhu Qingsheng, now a leader of the Chinese Foundation for Lifeline Express, says the project has not only helped cataract patients, but also facilitated exchanges between eminent eye physicians from China and abroad.

"Around 70 international medical experts have been invited to come to China this year. Through their participation, these international experts become more aware of Lifeline Express' busy operation in China's poverty-stricken areas. In addition to a remarkable role in the transfer of advanced techniques, they've also volunteered in helping spread the influence of Lifeline Express in an international scope."

Meanwhile, the project also assists Chinese eye physicians with their preparations for an international clinical sciences assessment for ophthalmologists.
