President Donald Trump is predicting sunny skies ahead for the U.S. economy, even as federal government announced 6.6 million Americans applied for unemployment benefits last week as layoffs sweep the nation. Nearly 17 million Americans has sought unemployment benefits in the past three weeks.

And Italy health official says the number of people in intensive care due to the coronavirus has decreased. Italy has been the countries worst hit by the virus which has infected over 140,000 people and left hospitals struggling to cope with an amount of patients.

OPEC says a proposed cut to oil production "is conditional on the consent of Mexico after marathon teleconference ended without decision. The proposal calls for a 10 million barrel per day cut until July, then an 8 million barrel per day cut through the end of the year.
