In this case, he wants somebody his attorney general who's going to basically protect him and not question what he's doing. Also tonight for sources familiar with the matter tell NBC News chief of staff John Kelly's expected to depart within days after a tumultuous tenure, punctuated by policy clashes. Kelly even feuding with members of the first lady's team. The president last month non-committal when asked about Kelly's future. People leave, people leave. Kelly's likely replacement vice president Pence's chief of staff Nick Ayers, an ambitious 36 year old political strategist.
