I can't top that 这句口语跟I can't beat that的用法是一样的。top是在最上面的意思。I can't top that.照字面意思理解是我不能达到最上面，也就是某件事已经是最好的了，你不可能做得更好了。
对话一：
A:What did you do over Spring Break?
（你春假都干吗啦？）
B:I went to Las Vegas and won $10,000.
