Ten million coronavirus cases have now been recorded worldwide, as countries around the globe continue to battle the deadly disease. Australian authorities are considering locking down individual Melbourne suburbs to prevent a spike in cases from spiralling out of control. The federal government says an outbreak — which saw 90 new cases reported in Melbourne over the weekend — is not indicative of a "second wave" of the disease in Australia, and was to be expected.

And South Australians will be allowed to attend large events for the first time in three months from today. People can head back to nightclubs, football matches, festivals as well as take part in indoor exercise classes, so long as physical distancing protocols are maintained.

And Hawthorn has climbed to fourth on the ladder with a four point win over North Melbourne. The Hawks led by 21 points heading into the final quarter but North Melbourne kicked the last three goals of the game.
