I think that's extremely interesting. That's fascinating. I have thought about the quality of the wood, of course, 我自然有考虑过木料的品质 but not particularly the closeness of the grain. But it absolutely does make sense. A lot of the violins from around this period, 那个时期 斯式琴黄金时期 the golden period of Stradivarius 制成的许多琴 have this very tight grain. 都有这种细密的纹理 Whatever the truth about 不管为何 why the Stradivarius sounds so beautiful, 斯式琴的音色如此优美 the fact is, trees grow slowly in the cold. So the closer the grain, 所以纹理越密 the colder it was. The fine grain on this instrument 这件乐器上细密的纹理 is evidence that the climate at the time was freakishly cold. But what caused this bout of extreme winters 300 years ago? Could the same thing be responsible for 会与导致近些年英国 the record-breaking winters of the last few years in Britain?
