1. President Bush is praising a bipartisan economic stimulus package that would give most tax filers refunds of 600 to 1200 dollars, and those with kids may get even more. The rebates which are expected to go out in June will cost about $100 billion.

2. Meantime, Ford Motor Company is offering buy-out and early retirement packages to more than 50,000 hourly U.S. workers. It's an effort by the automaker to cut costs and replace those leaving with lower-paid workers. The automaker earlier reported losses in the fourth quarter.

3. This Marine has been indicted on a first-degree murder charge in the death of a pregnant colleague. But prosecutors say Cpl. Cesar Laurean won't face the death penalty if he is caught in Mexico. It's believed Laurean fled to his native country, which refuses to send anyone back to the U.S. who faces the death penalty.

4. Check out this smash and grab. Thieves stole an ATM by using a pickup truck and chain to yank it free. It was all caught on a Detroit area gas station surveillance camera.
