Victor：Nancy今天我们来学一下roommate。

Nancy：He’s my roommate.

Victor：他就是我的室友。

Nancy：Technically this means you share a room， but we also use it for people who share a house or an apartment.

Victor：从广泛的意义上讲就是指你们两个住在一个房子里面，但是你们也可以讲住在一个公寓里面。

Nancy：You should actually say housemate， but every one says roommate.

Victor：当然你可以说housemate，但是最专业的词叫roommate。

Nancy： Victor，remember，in Western countries it’s very common for men and women to be roommates， but not boyfriends and girlfriends.

Victor：大家千万不要把roommates和boyfriends及girlfriends搞混。

Nancy：So, he’s my roommate.

Victor：He’s my roommate.

Nancy：Thanks for coming.
